I’m really enjoying the decaf but I’ve dropped a star for a couple of reasons. To my palette it tastes very slightly over roasted, there’s a slight burnt edge to the roast (that might be intended but isn’t mentioned on the flavour notes so I wonder if it was the batch), I still absolutely love drinking it and would definitely order it again. Also Royal Mail screwed up my delivery so it was sent to the wrong sorting office. Personally I think Royal Mail have gone down hill and would look to another delivery firm!

This was my first time purchasing from West Berkshire Roastery but will not be the last!! Amongst the best beans I have used and knowing they are free from unwanted nasties is great to know. Will be buying again soon.

We are delighted to have found such good organic coffee and love the Signature Gold for its roundness of flavour with a chocolatey undertone. Drinking organic really makes a difference to my digestion.
I am yet to try to Nicaragua as I've started on the White Gold, which is top notch. I did a lot of research before buying my next batch of coffee as I was specifically looking for something that was mould and mycotoxin free. I was impressed with the information and reviews from West Berkshire Roastery that will be a staple going forward.
I have ordered various types of medium roast coffee beans which arrived on time, freshly roasted. I use the V60 method and the smell and taste never fail. Definitely recommend.
We run these beans through our Sage Barista and when making flat whites have the grind size at 15, give it a medium firm press, brew time of 23secs, milk at 60 degrees and no.4 setting for the frothyness. Gives us great results every time.
I'm still exploring the range of blends from West Berkshire Roastery. Signature Gold is the first one I've returned to. The aroma is sublime and sets you up for the brew. So far I've just used it for espresso and flat white. Looking forward to trying pressed, Moka pot and cold brews. The flavour for me has a subtle maple hin. It's yardstick for my coffee journey

It may simmer you down in terms of caffeine, but nothing less is missing - far from. Incredible chocolate aroma and makes a rich, full, smooth shot of expresso. Thanks to Simmer Down, I can enjoy delicious coffee later into the day - and do.

As an amateur coffee enthusiast, I was pleasantly surprised by West Berkshire Roastery’s Simmer Down Decaf. The flavour is mellow yet satisfying, with a lovely balance that doesn’t feel flat like some decafs can. It brews beautifully whether you’re using a French press or pour-over, and the aroma is inviting without being overpowering.
I’d give it 4 stars because while it’s a fantastic option for winding down in the evening, I’d love just a touch more depth in the body. Still, it’s a great choice for anyone looking for a quality decaf that doesn’t compromise on taste. Highly recommend giving it a try!
This is the nicest decaf I’ve tried (and I’ve tried quite a few) - a rich and complex full flavour that tastes just like full caff coffee. I can drink it all day, it’s lovely.
I shared some with my boss who also agreed it’s the best decaf he’s tried and will swiftly be ordering some.
